About Us
About Us
Established in 2012, Tasmanian Seed Dressing & Storage Company (TSD) operates out of Carrick, Tasmania, after acquiring the site from RuralCo. Since then, we’ve grown into a trusted leader in seed processing, storage, and export services across Australia and beyond.
Our management team includes General Manager Morgan Leath, Operations Manager Abhitesh Gupta, and Logistic Co-ordinator Rahul Patel. We maintain a skilled team of 13 permanent staff and grow to around 25 during the harvest season. In-house engineering capabilities, supported by a senior and apprentice engineer, allow us to maintain and expand our facility independently.
Our Services
We provide high-quality cleaning and grading for a wide variety of crops including ryegrass, pulses, cereals, oilseeds, brassicas, and vegetable seed. Our specialties also include processing niche crops such as industrial hemp and poppy seed, along with seed treatments, coating, spiraling, and crop drying through our Alvan Blanch continuous flow dryer.
Our facility features four Westrup seed cleaning lines, multiple gravity separators, indent cylinders, and high-capacity treatment systems like the Cimbria batch treater and Sutton seed treatment plant. With 2,500 m² of machine room space and 3,500 m² of palletised storage—including extensive racking—we also manage over 11,500 m³ of silo storage with annual expansion.

We proudly serve a wide client base including Australian growers, seed production companies, and international exporters. Our partners include Barenbrug, Advanta Seeds, Midlands Seeds, RAGT, DLF Seeds, Valley Seeds, Elders, Extractas Bioscience, Hemp Harvest, The Sustainable Nutrition Group, Cargill, Upper Murray Seeds, Nutrien Ag, Bejo Seeds and South Pacific Seeds.
As a subsidiary of South Island Seeds in New Zealand—the heart of global seed production—we bring together international expertise and local commitment to deliver exceptional service from paddock to port.
